CB: Who are you in quarantine with?
GC: My parents, boyfriend and son. 1 child - Milo and he is 4 years old.
CB: What is your quarantine story? GC: Milo and I have been brushing up on old nursery rhymes and songs. They are his favorite. I will start the song and he will finish it. It’s our mommy and son thing. One day, we were singing “Rain, Rain Go Away” and he must’ve got distracted with something so when the part “Milo’s friends all want to….” came up, he said “three”. I started hysterically laughing because somehow it made sense (want (one) to (2)….three!). We started the song over and he just kept saying “three” with the biggest smile on his face and I realized he kept saying it because he noticed how much it made me laugh. At that moment, I was filled with so much love to know that my little 4 year old found happiness in seeing me happy and laughing. Now each time we sing this song, he still says three just to put a smile on his mama’s face.
CB: What are 3 tips you would give to other Moms to help them during this time? GC: Remember that some days are better than others and thats okay - don’t be too hard on yourself. Always take a moment for yourself, you deserve me-time! Dedicate the same love and time to yourself as you do for others. And lastly, try not to stay up too late binging WestWorld (like this mama), you may regret it in the morning LOL!
